Clothing for women with a stoma

Clothes I'dwear.

I'm Laura. After surgery, I struggled to make my clothes work with a colostomy bag. I'm exploring whether I can start a fashion business for women like me.

The reason I started

I couldn't make my clothes work.

After surgery for bowel cancer, I was given a stoma. The clothes I already owned became difficult to wear.

I don't have a fashion background. I do have plenty of questions, and I want to work through them with women who have the same problems.

What women told me

Jeans kept coming up.

In week one, I received 444 survey responses and 373 Facebook comments. Women described waistbands pressing against bags, clothes that changed as bags filled, and missing the jeans they used to wear.

A future wardrobe

Wardrobe ideas

Jeans came up again and again in the feedback. These reference pieces help imagine what a shop could become, shaped by the women who would wear the clothes.

Shop concept only. Reference photographs, example GBP prices and UK sizes. Nothing is for sale.
